Question: What kind of bag/backpack should I take to college? Messenger bag, backpack, other...?

Definitely go with a backpack. From experience, I used a messenger back for two semester and it was too troublesome. I wouldn't go with a leather bag but that is just because of the weather where I am...I think a Northface backpack would be more stylish.

Personally i think they are very ugly. Not trying to be offensive in any way. But If that reflects your personality and who you are.. then more power to you. But if not, i would definitely go with a different more modern look. Hope this helps! Good Luck at College(:

I think they look at little dated, but if you like them go for it.
I always carried a tote in college, but a backpack would have been easier.

Those are ugly and outdated.

Don't get a messenger bag - they're the most annoying things out there.

College isn't like high school - no one cares about what your backpack looks like. Most people where I'm from just carried normal Jansport backpacks. Just as long as you have something to carry your books in.
